TMJ JAPAN now offers "online interpretation services" that can be utilized even for short periods of time.
Short-time interpretation can be provided at a lower cost than previous types of interpretation, making it easier than ever to communicate across national and linguistic borders.

What is simultaneous interpretation?

Simultaneous interpretation is a method in which the speaker's words are interpreted almost simultaneously.
Zoom has a simultaneous interpretation feature that allows participants to listen to interpretations online.

What is consecutive interpretation?

Consecutive interpretation is a method in which the interpreter delivers the translation at the end of short segments.
The pause in a consecutive interpretation allows it be used with a wide range of online tools.

FAQ

In general, we ask that you prepare your own online tools (Zoom, etc.) and invite us in advance. However, we can provide such services as a separate option.

Interpreting requires considerable concentration and stamina. For this reason, one hour is the limit for a single professional interpreter. If you wish to arrange for inexpensive interpretation, we recommend that you limit your required time to one hour or less.

The standard is one week before the day of interpretation, depending on the volume of material.
Sharing your information with us as soon as possible helps our interpreters prepare and improves the quality of the interpretation.

This service is available as a separate option. Please request this service as soon as possible, as the translation must be shared with the interpreter.

Yes! Some of our clients assign a fixed interpreter for medium- to long-term projects or regular assignments. We offer an additional discounts for such projects.
